There is indeed a God! After dropping several hints in my Resident Evil VCD review and elsewhere that VCD screener supplier CoolVCD.com send me Season 1 of the Futurama TV series to no avail alas, my wife surprised me on my recent birthday with . . . Futurama Complete Season One on DVD!

That’s right. Plotting behind my back she convinced several family members to all club in together and buy me the complete box set. This came as a complete surprise since I didn’t so much as hint that I wanted such an expensive present for my birthday. No – serious! The list I compiled contained several Woody Allen flicks (amongst them Sleeper, which a good friend did buy me so expect a review of the DVD soon), but no Futurama. So you can imagine my surprise – in fact I’m sure lesser surprises than this caused men my age to die of a heart attack!
